The Heritage Stahl OO-2 is a meticulous recreation from our Heritage series, capturing the essence of a classic OO-sized instrument originally built by the Larson Brothers under the Stahl brand. This model embodies the historical "Built under Tension" construction with an authentically "arched" top, contributing to the guitar's unique resonance and structural integrity.
Following the original design, the Stahl OO-2 features August Larson's innovative "laminated" bracing system. This key element provided the original instruments with remarkable durability and a distinctive, articulate tone. The top is crafted from high-grade Alpine Moon spruce Mastergrade, selected for its excellent tonal response and aesthetic appeal. The back and sides utilize premium Indian Rosewood AAA (Dalbergia latifolia), renowned for its deep bass, rich overtones, and clear, bell-like trebles.
With historical accuracy in mind, the Stahl OO-2 includes a Mahogany neck, an Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) fingerboard adorned with elegant Floral Larson Style inlays, and a Polished Vintage Bone nut and bridge inlay. The iconic Larson historic peghead with Larson logo M.O.P. and Ebony (Diospyros ebenum) overlay, along with the Ebony bridge, complete this instrument, offering players an authentic experience of a golden-era Stahl guitar with superior craftsmanship and materials.
