The New Era Masterbuilt OO reflects a focused interpretation of the Stahl-inspired small-body design, combining Larson construction principles with modern lutherie precision.

Built around the Larson-style arched top, the instrument delivers notable projection, efficiency, and tonal balance from a compact body. This construction, paired with solid Moonspruce bracing, produces a highly responsive soundboard with strong articulation and controlled harmonic content.

Two distinct configurations define its voice. The all-mahogany version offers a dry, direct response with strong fundamental focus, while the spruce and Madagascar rosewood pairing provides greater headroom, clarity, and harmonic complexity.

Shared appointments include a Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Polished Vintage Bone nut and bridge inlay, and a satin or oil neck finish for a smooth playing feel. The Larson historic peghead with M.O.P. logo and Ebony overlay completes the instrument’s restrained, heritage-driven aesthetic.

Who is Klaus Eilken?

Klaus is a precision-driven luthier whose work within the Larson Masterbuilt Series reflects a deep commitment to structural integrity and tonal clarity. His approach is grounded in the disciplined execution of historic Larson principles, particularly laminated bracing and “built under tension” construction.

Each instrument is individually voiced, with careful attention to stiffness, responsiveness, and balance across the full frequency range. He prioritises consistency under real playing conditions, producing guitars with fast attack, strong note separation, and controlled projection.

The result is a focused, reliable instrument where function leads and tone remains precise, balanced, and authoritative.
