Crafting the future
Reviving Larson Brothers of Chicago is not about nostalgia, but responsibility. Carl and August Larson’s work represents a defining chapter in American guitar making, rooted in innovation, craftsmanship, and a distinct tonal voice. The aim is to carry that spirit forward for modern players and collectors.
With access to original documentation and an original Larson guitar, Klaus and I studied their construction and intent in detail to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
This is not a relaunch, but a continuation of a legacy built on integrity, precision, and enduring value.
Designing the next chapter
For me, the goal is not to recreate the past, but to understand it deeply enough to move it forward. The Larson instruments are a source of inspiration, not a blueprint. Each original guitar carries its own ideas, its own solutions, and not all of them are equal. The question I ask is simple: how would these instruments exist today if their evolution had never been interrupted?
In our work, I focus on refining those ideas through modern precision and consistency. The result is not a copy, but a continuation, built with respect for the original thinking, and shaped for the demands of today's players.
