The New Era Masterbuilt Concert is a compact acoustic guitar built for immediacy, clarity and a close connection with the player.

As the smallest traditional body size in the New Era Masterbuilt range, the Concert offers a focused and highly responsive voice. Its compact body gives the guitar a quick attack, clear note definition and excellent control, making it especially well suited to fingerstyle, blues, folk and lighter dynamic playing.

Built around the Larson-style arched top, the New Era Masterbuilt Concert produces surprising projection from a small body format. The solid Moonspruce bracing keeps the soundboard reactive and efficient, helping the guitar deliver a dry, articulate voice with controlled overtones and strong balance across the strings.

Three tonewood options are available. The Honduras Mahogany model offers a direct, fundamental-focused response with strong midrange presence and a woody, immediate character. The Val di Fiemme Alpine spruce and Madagascar Rosewood version adds greater headroom, sustain and harmonic complexity. Tasmanian Blackwood offers warmth, clarity and refined overtones, with a balanced voice that combines a rich midrange with smooth, responsive projection.

Each New Era Masterbuilt Concert features a Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Polished Vintage Bone nut and bridge inlay, and a satin or oil neck finish for a smooth, natural playing feel.

The Larson historic peghead, M.O.P. logo and Ebony overlay complete the guitar with a refined, heritage-led aesthetic rooted in the craftsmanship and design legacy of the Larson Brothers.

Who is Klaus Eilken?

Klaus is a precision-driven luthier whose work within the Larson Masterbuilt Series reflects a deep commitment to structural integrity and tonal clarity. His approach is grounded in the disciplined execution of historic Larson principles, particularly laminated bracing and “built under tension” construction.

Each instrument is individually voiced, with careful attention to stiffness, responsiveness, and balance across the full frequency range. He prioritises consistency under real playing conditions, producing guitars with fast attack, strong note separation, and controlled projection.

The result is a focused, reliable instrument where function leads and tone remains precise, balanced, and authoritative.
